VIP is a great salon from customer service to great styles, selection of services, and great cuts. I was in Harlingen for an extended vacation and VIP Full-Service Salon was my salon of choice while visiting. VIP products are amazing and next to none, initially I visited the salon for a shampoo due to a bad case of itching of the scalp, keep in mind, I had suffered from this problem for years, loosing hope and using over the counter products of all sorts. After speaking with the hair specialist about the problem, she offered a free sample of her organic products for me to try. After applying the products for about a week a noticed a substantial reduction in the amount of scalp irritation and particles coming from my scalp. I've now returned home, and I continue to use a mixture of the products, my scalp is great, and I've almost totally illuminated the flakes. I am grateful to VIP as I have searched for several alternatives to alleviate this problem. The only problem I now face is finding a suitable stylist for my hair. I wish VIP the best with their continued success.

From what I've gathered, most of the barbers there do great work and it wasn't as expensive as everyone seems to think. If you want a good haircut, don't be cheap and don't use the other lady.

Recently, while I was traveling to Texas on business, I was referred to VIP Salon and Spa Wellness services. What an absolute delight! I was greeted by both Owners a fantastic Husband and Wife duo who collectively possess over 40 years of knowledge of cuts, color and the science of skin and hair. I was treated to a fabulous cut and color. The quality of the hair products was top notch! After learning about their personalized haircare products and seeing the results, I was a believer and was happy to be able to buy the products and take them home. I aint going to lie I have been a customer going for 2 years and the charge of 25.00 dollars for a mens haircut is a little meh ?everytime i go lol? but after getting it its like ok now i remember why i come here ,because not once have i ever seen my haircut and been like oh he messed up here or here its always sharp and the way i want it. This is without a doubt the single best barber in the area, I drive from McAllen to get my haircut there and it is 100% worth it. Some people complain about the price but youre definitely getting a $22 haircut. I was in the mitary getting a fade every week for the last 4 years and probably had over 50 barbers... I am very particular about my hair as they are long and i was looking for a good hair salon. I read really good reviews about it and i was fully satisfied. The owner (Dr Hagins) is a v sweet and loving lady. She took really good care of my hair. She gave some special treatment as they get really frizzy and i had little baby hair which she helped in managing. Everyone is so sweet there. I felt like a family member. Ok RGV ladies and gents...I don't normally leave reviews. Frankly, I like to read what others say but I'm not the 'tell you about my experience' kind of girl. BUT...I am absolutely compelled to leave one for VIP. I know you don't me so let me just say that I was at WIT'S END with my hair. I went from one bad haircut to the next, only to have each one worse than the last. Tears, embarrassment and just a general feeling of ugly. Then the anxiousness of finding another new stylist who would do who knows what with my already messy mess of a 'do'. Til now. I got the very best absolutely perfect love love love it cut at VIP!! AND, everybody there, EVERY SINGLE ONE, made me feel like royalty and helped me feel gorgeous. From the warm welcome, as a walk-in!, to bottled water, to pampering, to actually teaching you about your own hair and how to care for it and how to style it based on your hair's natural ways (I've had my hair over 40 years and just now learned why it does what it does)...you have no idea how truly awesome this salon is. We recently moved here from the northeast and I had the same stylist for seven years, so I was a little nervous. I asked for someone experienced in short styles and was lucky to get Mrs. "H". I showed her some pictures I had printed off the internet, we talked about the pros and cons of each style vs. my hair and then she dived right in. She took a lot of time shaping the back and sides and then did a great job on the top. She found all of my cowlicks and dealt with them! I walked out an hour later feeling much prettier than when I went in.
